Scoping and leading a bidirectional Shopify-to-ERP integration

I scoped, designed, and led a two-way integration between a client's Shopify storefront and their manufacturing ERP, and ran the security review on the production portal alongside it.

The problem

The client's storefront and their manufacturing ERP held overlapping data and did not talk to each other, so the reconciliation between them was manual and therefore both slow and quietly wrong.

What I did

I scoped and designed a bidirectional integration between Shopify and the ERP using REST APIs, webhooks, and XML data mapping, then led it through delivery. Separately I built a Python integration syncing CRM product data into the ERP's SQL Server database.

While supporting the client's ASP.NET MVC production portal I ran a security review, which surfaced plaintext database credentials and TLS gaps. Raising that was not in the original scope, and it was the more valuable finding.
